Life Is Full Of Delays!
Yesterday turned out to be a full day of family activities. Unplanned activities with three different family members, all of which were pleasant encounters that lasted multiple hours, each, made for some rather nice unexpected get togethers. One, in particular, I hadn't seen in many months. Just goes to show that one never really knows what any given day holds, even when we might be inclined to think that we do, simply based upon what our ordinary day-to-day routines turn out to be.
Today, if opportunity allows, I aim to return to my reading of The Malthusian Correction, a book written by author JG Faherty (
@JGFaherty).
I'm approximately a third of the way through it. This guy goes on a walk - and he just keeps on walking.
And walking, and walking, and walking.
Such a simple concept, yet one with an air of mystery behind it. What caused this guy to do that. This isn't like going on a walk through nature. There's something going on here that is beyond the ordinary. And the execution of it is handled very well by the book's author.
If I'm lucky, maybe I can get through another third of it, today. I'm not gonna cross my fingers and keep them crossed on that, though. Real life has a well-demonstrated way of intervening at any unexpected point along the course of my day.
