Aerospace started off our unit on gps and radio navigation with a quick visit to my campus geocache course. First team to locate and record all six locations wins! They built cohesive teams, had a blast, and we all got our steps in for the day.

Aerospace Engineering was building and testing composite structures. Utilizing different weaves of fiberglass and carbon fiber, and molding processes, they had to calculate the moment of inertia and with experimental data, calculate Young’s Modulus for their material and process

I built each of our high schools a pneumatic rocket launcher and shared my favorite projectile lab with some amazing science educators. They also learned to use solderless connectors to design and build their own lab solutions.
My teacher heart is full. 😃
