Read the news story about this American hero's senior dog being confiscated after a simple misunderstanding.
Taking the dog seems harsh by any standard, cruel to both Lucy and her people, including kids who don't understand why she isn't home.
We hope grace and compassion prevail and that Lucy is returned to her family, where she belongs.
