Thank you @JAMAPsych. Important! A lot to do to ensure that mental health has parity of esteem with physical health. Imagine if only 6.9% of people with cancer received effective treatment, that would be seen as scandalous
This study found that only 6.9% of people with mental and substance use disorders received effective treatment, with major barriers including low perceived need, inadequate treatment contact, and insufficient treatment quality. ja.ma/4llis4b
