Layover in Egypt on our way back to the UK. @dcsandbrook’s latest 10yo fan wanted her new best book to come too, and her long-suffering parents had to cart it round the sites! She wants the whole series now and fields trips for all of them.
European civilization is built on ham and cheese, which allowed protein to be stored throughout the icy winters.
Without this, urban societies in most of central Europe would simply not have been possible.
