- Environment Sec married to the exec of sewage-pumping water firm
- Health Sec in charge of obesity married to CEO of major sugar firm
- Foreign Sec tainted by Greensill lobbying scandal & isn't even an MP
Sounds like "common sense" to me...
In 2015, Jeremy Hunt pledged to increase the GP workforce by 5,000.
In 2019, Matt Hancock pledged to increase the GP workforce by 6,000.
Today, there are 1,904 fewer full-time GPs than 2015.

Over my adult life the national insurance rate has more than doubled from 5.75% to 12% and is set to go higher today. Over the same period the basic rate of income tax has fallen from 34% to 20%. That tells you a lot about the politics of taxation.

This decision seems both morally wrong & against UK interests. Surely those accepted onto #Chevening will be at particular risk from Taliban & among "brightest & best" whom our government rightly wants to attract to UK. Hope @BorisJohnson & @DominicRaab will review urgently
Deeply disappointing to hear - on top of everything - that Afghans who received Scholarships from the UK government to study in the UK this year have now been told they will not be granted visas due to "administration issues". Surely someone can sort this out?
From next week, soldiers will be deployed to several of England's ambulance services after a military aid request to @DefenceHQ by @DHSCgovuk - I say again for the NHS to be here in August is hugely worrying.
