I don’t think he was driving but looking at what’s behind the truck, it’s clear Jesus was at least in the passenger seat.
Our officers are on the scene of a wreck involving a pickup truck that lost control and crashed through a fence and into a house on Bowman Road. No injuries. Driver cited for reckless driving. Bowman closed northbound at Stuart Engals. Tow company working to remove the truck.

Sure but the thing about Donald Trump is that he’s a completely irreligious person and, as a result, doesn’t actually care about the image of himself as Jesus with demons over his shoulder.

This produced some really interesting responses, but there are a lot of Christians in the thread who don’t seem to realize that “it’s justifiable to kill one man to save the world” isn’t the reasoning of Christ, but of the religious leaders who plot against him.

If for some bizarre reason the only way to save some people from organ collapse was to kill one homeless guy and divvy up his organs, it would be wrong to murder the homeless guy.
If this makes intuitive sense then you should be able to see why the Hail Mary project is wrong.

That Jesus’s killing was completely unjustifiable is the whole point. Reasoning the other way is to give the very wrong answer to Ivan Karamazov’s question: if you could bring the kingdom of God on earth by torturing one child to death, would you?

My timeline is full of Japanese Christians celebrating Easter and it’s the best. It’s still Saturday here in America and makes me think of how, when Mary Magdalene was celebrating after seeing the risen Jesus, the news of the resurrection hadn’t yet reached the disciples

A cutting reflection from Cardinal Ratzinger, Good Friday 2005:
"Pilate is not utterly evil. He knows that the condemned man is innocent, and he looks for a way to free him. But his heart is divided. And in the end he lets his own position, his own self-interest, prevail over what is right.
Nor are the men who are shouting and demanding the death of Jesus utterly evil. Many of them, on the day of Pentecost, will feel "cut to the heart," when Peter will say to them: "Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God... you crucified and killed by the hands of those outside the law."
But at that moment they are caught up in the crowd. They are shouting because everyone else is shouting, and they are shouting the same thing that everyone else is shouting. And in this way, justice is trampled underfoot by weakness, cowardice and fear of the diktat of the ruling mindset. The quiet voice of conscience is drowned out by the cries of the crowd.
Evil draws its power from indecision and concern for what other people think."

Stephen Colbert is co-writing "The Lord of the Rings: Shadow of the Past" (working title), which will go into production after "The Hunt for Gollum."
The synopsis: "Fourteen years after the passing of Frodo - Sam, Merry, and Pippin set out to retrace the first steps of their adventure. Meanwhile, Sam’s daughter, Elanor, has discovered a long-buried secret and is determined to uncover why the War of the Ring was very nearly lost before it even began."
