Except papers endorsed candidates back when trust in media was high, too, so this isn’t really a good explanation of declining trust even if it’s true that most don’t distinguish. But most also don’t read editorials or opinion pages, either.
Ever wonder why so many voters don’t trust plenty of media outlets’ hard reporting as objective/neutral? Perhaps because those outlets’ editorial boards and personalities have literally endorsed candidates, and voters don’t get the distinction.

The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire took place on this day 113 years ago in what is now NYU's Brown Building. It claimed the lives of 146 workers and ultimately led to substantial labor reforms, fire safety legislation, and building codes that still protect us today.
Some photos of the memorial today. More to come!

A Harlem building's old facade hints at a lesser-known history: the studio of photographer James Van Der Zee. His career spanned “nearly half of the medium’s history,” writes NYU professor Emilie Boone. Her new book explores the impact of his work. spr.ly/6018u1hTI

An eye on the future: @NYUPsych study, backed by @NatEyeInstitute, shows how our visual system transforms what we see into what we subsequently do.
“We now know that our visual memories are not simply what one has just seen, but, instead, are the result of the neural codes dynamically evolving to incorporate how you intend to use that information in the future.” 😲nyu.edu/about/news-publicati…
