20 years' old presents to her primary care provider w few days of "cold" symptoms & cough. Vitals stable besides heart rate of 160. Sent to the ED: BP 123/84, HR 141, RR 24, afebrile, sat 97% on room air. Labs: WBC 13k, BNP 600 (normal <100), trop I 100 (nl <15)
The strangest part of being a researcher is that I sometimes spend a whole morning reading (new literature). It’s such a mind f*%} bc I feel like I accomplished nothing, yet it’s integral to my professional life!
