PGA tour media is trash. (Rory is 8 shots back.) Poston had a career round and doesn’t get a headline, nor a sub. Delete your account @PGATOUR, you suck.

Nothing left but a wonderful family, 30 patents, 2 engineering degrees from MIT, a farm with a peach orchard, a herd of Wagyu cattle, a dozen inventions in my head, a clucks capacitor roaming my fields, and investors lined up to back whatever I invent next.

In 1997, Bernie was always the kindest and most solar Congressperson, even after reading my badge/ ID.
Barney Frank was one of a kind. For more than three decades in Congress, he fought tirelessly for the people of Massachusetts, helped make housing more affordable, stood up for the rights of LGBTQ Americans, and helped pass one of the most sweeping financial reforms in history designed to protect consumers and prevent another financial crisis. Barney’s passion and wit were second to none, and our thoughts are with his family today.

I won't out the course but here is aspect of Country Clubs that I think needs to change. I had a player playing in the US Amateur. We hired the clubs best caddie to help us navigate the course in practice rounds. Guy was great. With our USGA credentials on first day at the club we asked him after the round if he would like to join us for lunch. He couldn't, he wasn't allowed in the clubhouse and we were able to go in and out freely. I hate this about higher end golf. Good caddies are assets and should be treated as such. Please retweet this if you agree.

The Strokes’ “Selfless” is a perfect post-modern romantic ballad. It is perfect.

As yet another preemptive war is begun in the Middle East, John Quincy Adam’s words of wisdom still ring true: “Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.” Like most Americans I have sympathy for the plight of the Iranian people and all subjected people around the globe, from North Korea to Tibet. But as Adam’s wrote, America:  “goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.” The Constitution conferred the power to declare or initiate war to Congress for a reason, to make war less likely.   Madison wrote that “the Executive Branch is the branch most prone to war, therefore, the Constitution, with studied care, delegated the war power to the legislature.” As with all war, my first and purest instinct is wish Americans soldiers safety and success in their mission.   But my oath of office is to the Constitution, so with studied care, I must oppose another Presidential war.

Pour one out for the greatest khakis in history. In 2013, I walked in to @Bonobos guide shop on 2nd street in ATX and @SamVAllen sold me 3 flat fronts (32/34), 2 button downs. Last week, last of the khakis gave way on the 17th green lining up a putt. I cried. Mourning. @dunn

Bearing witness to some seemingly providential redemption manifest, modern man feels something. That thing is ineffable. Most modern men never experience formal initiation. Certainly never speak of it. And when a man initiates on his own, seemingly by some magic, it’s AWE-SOME.
Lots is being made of @AnthonyKim_Golf the person. I don’t know him. But I can say this. I battled addiction and have been in recovery for 16 years. There aren’t that many of us. The statistics are horrendous. Many people die. I’ve been to dozens and dozens and dozens of funerals. To come out the other side, stare down immense shame and stigma in public, take more than a decade away from professional golf, and then come back and beat two of the best players in the world on a Sunday… while carrying 170 ball speed and relying on iron play and a putter… That takes a certain kind of junkyard dog you do not see much anymore. It takes grit. It takes toughness. It takes self belief. It takes real courage. Massive tip of the cap to the guy.

It’s early 2008 and you’re listening to The National’s “Boxer” corresponding in real time on twitter with anyone you choose. It is a really magical time and you’ll forget the rush, and like your first cigarette, try to reclaim it. @jack
