Fun Q&A w/ @States_Change a few weeks ago on how models like the 3 Horizons Framework, Cynefin, Innovation Portfolio Sensemaking, Mission Oriented Innovation, IAP2, Boring Revolution, Delivery-Driven Policy can help public institutions think & act across the phases of a crisis.
What is the role of an innovation team in times of crisis? @Jason_PE on how to support strategic learning & scoping of experimental portfolios as part of government responses to #COVID19 medium.com/states-of-change/… #psilabs cc @geoffmulgan @gquaggiotto @cityofsound @LLGACities

I supervise ~ 3-4 family medicine residents/mo during their ED rotation It's been >5yrs since one told me they were planning to start a practice. Every single one plans to locum, hospitalist or work in EM. Primary care is in trouble. This won't help. cbc.ca/news/health/family-do…

Is there other data other than these two minutes?
New data shows that very few cyclists and pedestrians are using Queen Elizabeth Driveway when it's closed to cars. Watch this video as a great example. When I recorded it yesterday afternoon, not a single pedestrian or cyclist passed me for the entire two and a half minutes. Lorsque je l'ai enregistrée hier après-midi, pas un seul piéton ou cycliste ne m'a dépassé pendant les deux minutes et demie.

Slowing down isn’t just a matter of self care, but a strategic play if you’re trying to advance social/environmental change work. I wasn’t convinced that this was true until being in conversation with @LLGACities while he was researching and writing his new book, The Slow Lane.

When I was inducted as @CMA_Docs' first Indigenous President, my mom reminded me that I needed to “own my power” and embrace the belief that I could help make health systems better. I had a responsibility to the people who’d cleared the path before me to live up to their expectations. The CMA’s recent announcement of an apology process, focused on the harm the health care system has caused Indigenous Peoples, is a needed step on the path of reconciliation. Today, on Indigenous People’s Day, I want to recognize the importance of this apology process, and celebrate those who have worked tirelessly to lay a path to today. Our next steps will be heavy. The harm to Indigenous patients, families and communities is real. Together we can bear the weight of each step, remembering that the progress we make is achieved together.

I like @_MarkSutcliffe, he's a good friend. But I don't believe what he proposes is what Ottawa needs now. Here are the reasons why I'm endorsing @cmckenney for mayor. ottawacitizen.com/opinion/pe…

Proud to support ⁦@cmckenney⁩ for our next mayor. Catherine knows how City Council works, supports smart, green development, has a fully costed program that prudently uses our tax dollars, & will continue to stand up for all to make Ottawa an even better place for everyone.

Without the advocacy and contributions of Survivors, Sept. 30 would be just another day in the calendar. Survivors led us to this moment on the journey of reconciliation, while they have been on their own personal journeys of healing. See my #NDTR #NDTR2022 statement attached.
