Designed a cyclic peptide that folds and self-assembles at the graphite/graphene–water interface using molecular dynamics simulation and verified the formation of linear patterns experimentally. In my opinion, the coolest work I've ever done.

Collab. with group of Ricardo Garcia whose amazing AFM work reveals molecular layers at water–material interfaces. Simulations link the length of force undulations to molecular structure of the overlayers and suggest graphite–water interfaces include VOCs. doi.org/10.1039/D1NR00351H
