So many manuscripts/proofs I've seen recently have used the term "post-pandemic", and, like a good editor, I note in my comments that while the WHO announced the end of the emergency phase in May 2023, the pandemic is ongoing. I will keep doing this for as long as it remains true

This week I referenced AIPAC’s outsized power in US politics and someone responded “whoa careful, that’s an antisemitic stereotype.” This was a smart, kind friend who just reads a lot of NYT. The chilling effect of the misinformation out of these media companies is alarming

Pitch: reality tv show where the tech boys of SLU have to work service industry jobs for a week. We all watch them not know how to do anything and giggle.

Too much of the feminism that is making pussy hats and blue friendship bracelets and not enough of the kind that is materially improving people’s lives through mutual aid contributions of money and labor
way too much of the feminism that is “omg finally a woman imperialist, I’m with HER!” and not enough of the kind that is “you have to earn our votes by vocally rejecting bibi and calling for an immediate end to the genocide and occupation”

if you are someone who was able to overlook the genocide and cast a vote for kamala harris, then you already understand how a conservative was able to overlook Trump's extremism to vote for him.

Kamala may have lost, but at least we get to honor her legacy by continuing prison slavery in California

Fantasizing about all the revolutionary, life-saving policies that Biden could push through right now with no electoral consequences if he actually cared at all about protecting our rights, our “democracy,” etc.

Are you in a better, more resilient, less ignorant place than you were after the 2016 election? Who do you have to thank for that education? Today is a good day to compensate them.

“We won’t be able to organize/ protest under Trump”. People in the Global South have been organizing and protesting under dictatorships that America has installed as puppets. You will be fine.

As long as the liberals are raging, I’m actually mad that more of y’all in safe states didn’t vote 3rd party to get one past that 5% mark that could have helped move us toward alternatives to the failing two-party system

Weird that when both parties run to the right, the right-wing party wins.

Not many people know why the election is always the first Tuesday of November. The founding fathers actually chose that day so that the American people could eat leftover Halloween candy while awaiting election results.

If Kamala loses it's gonna be so weird to watch liberals start protesting the same things they're defending now.

my fear is that kamala is not seen as someone or something to resist. just like obama. long four years ahead either way.

Living in Seattle is such a trip because everyone claims to be all morally enlightened and warriors for human rights and then they invite you to their We ❤️ Kamala Harris party

where are the all election polls that compare third-party presidential candidates? considering that many people are strategically voting this year to nudge a third party over that important 5% mark, this seems like a huge failure of news publishers to serve readers.

My acceptance of your invite to hang out tomorrow and drown out our anxieties together is entirely dependent on us both agreeing that either outcome is bad, very bad.
