It was great to spend this weekend celebrating the updated CA #bagban with @SenBlakespear. CA will now have one less major source of plastic pollution @CALPIRG

Gas bills are rising nationally, but not because prices are going up. An explosion of state-supported infrastructure spending by utilities caused the increases, leading many states to reconsider, restrict, or roll back their policies. Read more: tinyurl.com/gasonnpr

Our state director @JennEngstrom called the “end of 10” a “lose-lose-lose” situation. “It’s bad for consumers. It’s bad for security, and it’s bad for the environment." kqed.org/news/12059209/repai…

🤢Microplastics are in our oceans, our food, and our bodies. 🤢 California can lead the nation in ending this pollution. Tell @CAgovernor to sign AB 823 & ban toxic plastic microbeads and glitter from personal care and cleaning products. 🌎 Take action now — link in bio!#caleg

Please put people ahead of #PFAS @CAGovernor @GavinNewsom. @andrewsimmern is right: we don’t need to poison our friends and neighbors to have non-stick pans. nytimes.com/2025/10/08/opini…

Before you pre-order a new Apple device, consider repairing your current one. You can make it feel like new, save money, and keep another device from becoming e-waste. #AppleEvent #RighttoRepair

PFAS chemicals are linked to cancer & developmental problems, yet are still used in many consumer products - risking our health and contaminating our drinking water. That's why Californians across the state want the #CAleg to vote YES on #SB682 to phase out toxic PFAS @BuffyWicks

Independent research and our state agencies agree that no PFAS should be considered "safe," and we must do what we can to regulate these forever chemicals that pose serious health risks, including cancer, liver disease, and decreased fertility, even at low exposure levels.

Had a great time with the CA Alliance for Children’s Environmental Health, bringing together parents, medical professional, and young people to lobby to ban toxic PFAS, tackle microplastics and extreme heat, and make our kid’s food safe #SB682 #AB1264 #AB823 #SB646 #655 @CALPIRG

Thank you @CalRecycle for publicly stating that California's foam foodware ban is in effect. Foam cups and containers create pollution in our environment and it's time to say goodbye! kcra.com/article/crackdown-s…

Thank you @CalRecycle for publicly stating what the law in CA now reflects, which is that styrofoam can no longer be sold here! This is an environmental win for our oceans, waterways, and human and animal health.
