The way I see creative coding is like this...
It has nothing to do with 3D... or even 2D. Creative coder is someone who can solve a problem in a creative way.
Creative problem solving skills I believe it is something this new generation coders are lacking probably due to all these sophisticated toolsets and frameworks out there these days.
While people who uses Spline, Webflow and Framer can do pretty much 90% of the web design projects out there, there are still limitations on making something specific which requires a creative solve.
The gap for sure will get closer in time but creative coders can jump to another tech area easily if they want to adapt something new. They can go become an "artist", switch to do some installation work, mograph, game dev, machine learning, etc... So creative coders shouldn't really need to panic about their future.
