Watching this now - @statemedicaid says 1 in 4 states have greater than 20% job vacancy rates for Medicaid eligibility staff. Lots of concern about the state of the workforce going into the PHE unwinding.
Our annual survey of state Medicaid directors finds that states expect Medicaid enrollment growth to slow to 8.4% in FY 2022 (down from 11.2%) before declining by 0.4% in FY 2023, largely due to the anticipated end of the Public Health Emergency in 2023.
