I just got off the phone with Coach Harbaugh and Jim shared with me the great news that he is going to remain as the Head Coach of the Michigan Wolverines. That is fantastic news that I have communicated to our Athletic Director Warde Manuel. #GoBlue!

Here's a thoughtful point @MarcALevin made to me recently: to break through the "tough" vs. "soft" paradigm in criminal justice, acknowledge we're currently too tough in some areas while too soft in others. Adjusting appropriately is the essence of being "smart" on crime.

I have always loved voting! This year it’s a privilege to vote for people I know and respect a great deal. College friend @RunWithCraig who will be a great mayor!! Several former colleagues for judge Jude Wolford, Kristina Garvey! And strongly vote no on two amendments! Go vote!

Watching a very emotional 60 Minutes on FDNY and 9/11. The memories of that time as a journalist are so clear to me even now, including the privilege of attending several FDNY funerals along with York County, VA ffs. Someone once asked me why I like ffs so much. This is why.
