This reminds me of a joke with an important message:
A man goes before the altar and says to God, "God, I have been a good and faithful Christian all my life. I have spread the Gospel and shared love and kindness to all of my fellow men, even my enemies. I want to win the lottery, and I promise I will do much good with it."
A bright line shines and a booming voice sounds, "My son, you will win the lottery," It said, and the light dimmed.
"Thank you, Lord. You will not be disappointed," the man said.
A couple of days go by. Nothing. Then a week, then two, then a month. Three months passed and the man did not so much as find a penny on the ground.
He returned to the altar. "God, I don't understand. You told me I would win the lottery, but I have not so much as found a penny on the ground."
The light returns brightly and the voice reappears, "BUY A LOTTERY TICKET!!!!"
