NZ's first AllSky7 #fireball camera! I'm delighted to have handed this over to @astrokiwi for deployment at @UCNZ_PhysChem as part of the @FireballsNZ meteorite recovery project. Let's go find some space rocks!
Thanks SWEMN for implementing the Global Fireball Exchange Format. Now they can swap meteor observations with the other leading #Fireball networks (see below for implementation status).
The next Spanish #meteorite just got easier to find.
Saturday's UK #meteorite fall as seen from #Eastbourne. @UKMeteorNetwork calculate the rock was about the same size as #Winchcombe and landed in the ocean just off the Isle of Wight. (AllSky7 camera from @amsmeteors and @UK_Fireball)
Sharing my photos of New Zealand because why not, this place makes me happy. Bark Bay, full of stingrays and clear green water, seen only by those who walk or boat in.
We won an award! The @RoyalAstroSoc have just awarded the 2022 Group Achievement Award (Geophysics) to UKFAll for the recovery of the #Winchcombe#meteorite. Thank you! (See ukfall.org.uk "News" section for our press release).
