This is your brain on “importing the current conflict”. Step 1 is 🇦🇷 either developing a technology they don’t have, or licensing it from a pariah state while maintianing 🇺🇸 support. Step 2 is developing an industry to manufacture the drones at scale they don’t have.

A modern Falklands/Malvinas war wouldn’t use landing forces. The only way Argentina could fight the British forces is if they mass-produce Shahed-style drones and conduct an area-denial strategy. These drones would destroy military bases, airfields and port infrastructure; essentially blockading the island.

Most people dont realise how to properly use a pith helmet. They’re made out of cork, and you’re supposed to swoak them in water overnight. The evaporation throughout the day acts like a mini air conditioner. Now armed with this knowledge go conquer vast lands and name them after Queen Victora.
It's less than thirty quid lads. Ideal headgear for informal gatherings, bbqs, riots or volley fire by ranks.

Can someone explain the indistrial and geopolitical factors that put Russia, Germany, Spain and Greece on the same power socket? The only thing that makes sense on this map is that 🇬🇧 is randomly doing it’s own thing.
If your country isnt green then you're brown and third world

It’s interesting to see how this revolves over time.

Via repost, I was reminded of this graphic showing how terminology for units varries by country. To summarize some of the more insane elements: 1. The unit size for Troops and Squadrons is one tier higher for the 🇺🇸 than 🇬🇧. 2. The 🇺🇸 term for a battalion with attachments (800-1,500 troops) is identical to the 🇬🇧 term for all the army, navy and air personnel deployed to a country or region (usually over 50.000-500,000 troops). 3. To the 🇺🇸 teams are larger than groups. To the 🇬🇧 groups are large than teams. 3. Everyone uses Regiments, but they mean totally different things And that’s for the two most similar military systems arguably in world history, from two countries that speak the same language and used to be the same country.
Replying to @witte_sergei
It also doesn't help that cross armies the terminology is a total mess

There’s a Pride and Prejudice musical; and it’s terrible. The main song is a duet that starts with “I was too proud. I was too prejudiced” I don’t have a point here, I just thought you should know.

Notice that Major Winters didn’t seat himself in the front row. That’s not because he got there after the front seats were taken up.

It just occurred to me how much easier it must be for British Army soldiers to get thier heads around Zulu time. “This operation is running on Zulu time, or as we call it….. time” Running the world for 200 years has its advantages.

As a coach would it be a good move? Probably, but who cares. Some things just shouldn’t happen.

Sneak preview of the next article on the Iran War: 1. Prior to the pilot rescue mission the US had a slightly better “losses per 100 aircraft” rate than Desert Storm; if you exclude drones. 2. The pilot rescue mission pushed them to slightly worse loss rates than Desert Storm. 3. If you add in losses of large drones (like the Reaper) the US has twice the loss rate per airframe on Epic Fury as on Desert Storm. Counting drone losses equally with manned aircraft doesn’t seem like a good comparison, but neither does ignoring them. Manned aircraft losses are lowered by having drones do high risk missions. Given that, it’s suprising the Epic Fury manned aircraft loss rate was compable to Desert Storm. I would have expected it to be much lower.
