Never seen a VF player do that. What I have seen is Tekken players complain about Heat, Rage Arts etc and then VF players say "VF doesn't have that, if you want a 3D game without it".
I really love Virtua Fighter, how it plays and how it feels.
That being said, coming from a tekken background, vf peeps need to stop advertising vf as „its like the tekken you ever wanted, you need to try it“.
It is not. It feels vastly different and doesnt play (1/3)

I have 2 get better about this. I'm very vocal about how I mess w/ the Tekken community because they turned on me when I gave the slightest attention to VF. Most of them haven't played VF much so I gotta stop fighting with ppl who don't know what they're talking about, anyway.

The VF developers said they planned to do something about the fact that VF has a reputation for being difficult even though the game is quite simple. Looking forward to see how they tackle new player onboarding as well as improvement and development of their understanding in game

- About City in VF6 "Vilasapara"
inspired by location in Philippines -
Producer Yamada: "We wanted a believable setting that fit our vision. “While we initially considered something like Los Angeles, we felt it needed to be closer to an Asian setting. Japan or Thailand didn’t quite match. Our research showed that the Philippines was the best fit, so the city is heavily inspired by it, though it isn’t the Philippines itself.”

Since this scene was a mix of 2D and 3D animation, it was extremely complex and challenging to make work. I had to make sure all the action timing was prepared in advance. Many people worked incredibly hard to make this possible

This feels like what Yu Suzuki wanted to achieve when proposing Virtua Fighter RPG for Saturn back in the day. I think it's an exceptionally interesting approach in a day and age where 'just' a fighting game with no frills won't move the needle at all.

My grandmother has passed away at 92. I have never known a life without her. She taught me how to read. She once shot a home invader and she survived cancer 3 times. When my mom died, she helped us pick up the slack. I called her Mom for my first 8 years of life. I will miss her.

I have been playing 3S for over half a decade on hitbox pretty much the entire time. Have placed top 24 in multiple majors. Made friends with OGs and new people and no one has ever discriminated against with me for using a box lol.
