"This book should be a call to arms. If you are a tribune of the people pouring scorn on 'activist lawyers', I dare you to read this. If you have never felt comfortable with the 'activist’ tag, it may tempt you to reconsider." Shami Chakrabarti on #JusticeInATime of Austerity

Hi Jon @JonRobins10. I know that you share our concerns regarding this case. Please would you consider sharing our online petition (or publishing in some other way) in support of Lucy Letby’s convictions being fully re-examined, due to the growing concerns regarding the reliability of the evidence used at trial. Here is the link: change.org/p/refer-lucy-letb… We do of course realise that no-one can influence the decision of the CCRC and that is not the purpose of the petition. Whilst it already has a respectable number of signatories, for it to have a significant impact on those who have Lucy’s future in their hands, it needs to be a lot bigger, and for it to grow, it needs more exposure. Would you please consider sharing it to help it reach a much wider audience? Many thanks. Jo🙏

This is wishful thinking. The court turns logical somersaults to block avenues of appeal in wrongful convictions. As the CCRC is obliged to consider the likelihood of the court overturning a conviction, almost none get referred. I wrote about this here: hackneygazette.co.uk/news/24…
