"We go for all humanity," astronaut Reid Wiseman said as they launched. The Artemis programme is costing $90 billion. To rebuld Gaza would cost $70 billion. So four people are going round the moon.

I live 15 miles from a Barclays branch. I can pay a cheque in at the Post Office down the road, but it has to be in a special envelope that I can only get at the bank! You couldn’t make it up. Oh wait, someone did. Maybe provide the envelopes in the Post Office @BarclaysUK ??

The world’s 1st octopus farm would cram a MILLION of these smart and sensitive creatures into tiny tanks before painfully freezing them to death – but a massive public outcry can help stop it. Sign and share now! #BanOctopusFarming fb.avaaz.org/campaign/en/ban…

They charge 5.50 euros for a litre of water in Santorini airport. That's crazy. Outside the airport you get 2 litres for 1 euro but you can't take it through security. It's time this farce was stopped. All airports should provide free drinking water. @SimonCalder @wateratairports

I just signed the open letter backing water regulator @Ofwat’s plans to link water company bosses’ pay to the amount of sewage pollution they pump into our rivers. Will you add your name, too? speakout.38degrees.org.uk/ca…

Last week I took part in a litter pick along the banks of the River Derwent, near Cromford in the Peak District. As well as the usual drinks cans, crisp packets and dog poo bags, the river bank was covered in wet wipes. @stwater @ChrisGPackham

Not just the odd one or two, but hundreds of them. It was totally disgusting. If people can’t dispose of these things properly, they should be banned. And why are the water companies discharging sewage into the rivers? Who in their right mind would think this acceptable?

In 2011, we celebrated the return of otters to every county in England. The Environment Agency said that our rivers were the healthiest for 20 years. By 2020, just 14% were rated in good ecological health (including the Derwent, which is totally disgusting).
