Another injunction granted by a state court enjoining an NCAA eligibility decision.
The NCAA refused to not court his JUCO seasons as seasons of DI competition.
NCAA has a problem on its hands since it granted the Pavia waiver but now refuses to do so going forward.
Stay ready so you won’t have to get ready. Lord knows I’ve been grinding in the dark, holding onto the belief that one more year of eligibility might come my way. Delusional or not, I’d rather be prepared than regret not being ready.
Temple DL Khalil Poteat remains available in the transfer portal, his rep @ed_waz tells @On3.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound DL played two seasons of JUCO and will file a suit for a final season of eligibility. Same fact pattern as Clemson WR Tristan Smith, who won an injunction today for eligibility for the 2026 season.

So you’re telling me… My class who played 4 seasons in 4 years and had to play WITH and AGAINST 5th, 6th, 7th year guys, fight for roster spots/scholarships, etc… AND NOW. You’re telling us we can’t get a 5th year but everyone after us can?? Weird…
Graduated highschool in 2022 got affected by Covid players getting another year in 2022. Got affected by juco players getting another year in 2025. Now I can’t get a 5th year but every class after me can?
NEWS: NCAA President Charlie Baker told ESPN today that he’s “pretty optimistic” that the new aged-based eligibility proposal will happen. The DI Board of Directors met today and will recommend to not implement this rule retroactively for graduates/exhausted eligibility. “If you’ve used up your eligibility, you’ve used it up,” Baker told ESPN of the tenor of the discussion.
I don’t think I could ever coach. Because I could never look a kid in the eyes, feed him dreams I never planned to deliver, knowing he’s got nothing to fall back on and everything riding on this. Some of these coaches gotta look in the mirror fr. #Morals
