It is finally the big moment for @UCAMBB in year 20 of the DI era. In a year where the program has reached unprecedented heights, the Bears find themselves 40 minutes from finishing the ascent. The summit is of course a conference championship and an @MarchMadnessMBB appearance. Never a doubt. Orchestrated the biggest turnaround in ASUN conference history – going from 4 conference wins to 15 (and 3 points away from 18-0) after having to replace 87% of scoring and 83% of minutes from last year. Took a program that finished 10th last year, was picked 8th/11th in the league’s preseason polls this year … and turned it into a 20 wins, 15-3 in the ASUN, a league championship and the No. 1 seed in the conference tourney. Pretty good start to the season. Looking forward to the finish.

In this NIL-centric hellscape where an unfortunate number of players are just mercenaries chasing checks from year to year and have no interest in being part of a community or building a legacy, stories like Cam’s are all the more refreshing. Regardless of what the next week or so holds, the final chapter of his UCA journey is already pretty incredible. Hopefully the last page is the storybook ending he came back for.
