Goodbye Twitter/X-verse! This will be my last post. I no longer wish to be part of a platform that treats free speech as an absolute right - without any balance for people’s right to be free from hate speech or misinformation. #TwitterX#goodbye
Your @OntarioNDP Opposition House Leader @john_vanthof is formally requesting the Conservatives recall the Legislature immediately in order to reinstitute Greenbelt protections for the land in question.

If Doug Ford gets away with carving up protected Greenbelt lands through a fake, rigged process to enrich his donor developer friends by the tune of $8 billion dollars then basically anything goes.
Be outraged, Ontarians.
School strike week 249. Today the theme for our strike is biodiversity. It is crucial - both for the climate and biodiversity - that we #RestoreNature. This means restoring our greatest ally in tackling the climate and biodiversity crises. We now have an immense opportunity to turn the tide for nature in Europe: the Nature Restoration Law. 1/2
A brave girl from Afghanistan spray paints #LetHerLearn on a wall to spread a powerful message of resistance against the Taliban's oppressive ban on girls' education.
So this is really something that happened.
I’m flattered by the tribute, Menno. I hope you don’t regret it!
I’m just glad my name wasn’t Offenhammerstein.
Such a wonderful event @EcoFairToronto! Thanks for having us again from the Pocket Change Project, thanks to all the volunteers, exhibitors and attendees - so inspiring to see everyone coming together exploring green solutions for our planet! #greenTO#ClimateAction#greenhomes
Yet another thing @HillaryClinton is right about. If we want to hang on to our democracy, we need to vote for pro-democracy Secretaries of State. It's that simple.

Ausma Malik is principled, effective, and brave. Especially brave.
Our city and downtown community is so very lucky to have her at City Hall.
Congrats, @ausmalik. It’s an honour to pass the baton to you.
Reports coming from city staff that todays provincial announcement MAY have inadvertently killed the Toronto Green Standard for new buildings. If this is true, the province just made it impossible for TO to get to net zero by 2040, 2050 or 2100. This needs to be fixed.
Proud to wear purple with my @OntarioNDP caucus in solidarity with @CUPEOntario@osbcucscso education workers.
Everyone in Ontario knows that #39kIsNotEnough.
ONDP will keep pressuring the Ford government to respect education workers and give them a fair deal.

I don't own a car. I ride my bicycle year round as my primary transportation, transit second and @pegcitycarcoop third. We need to build complete streets where we can all walk, cycle, ride and drive.
