For 67 years, the Cuban dictatorship has crushed dissent through tyranny, repression, persecution, and prison for anyone who dares to think differently or speak the word freedom.
Releasing 51 political prisoners is not justice.
Justice is when the last political prisoner walks free.
And that will only happen when the longest-running and most brutal dictatorship in our hemisphere falls.

The attack on a synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan deeply saddens me. Houses of worship must always be places of peace and community, never targets of violence. Miami-Dade stands in solidarity with the Jewish community and condemns antisemitism and hate in all its forms.
