We are facing a critical health emergency in Africa with multiple health outbreaks across the continent. This year, we have witnessed a rapid increase in cholera cases affecting 18 African Union member states. As of today, we have recorded a total of 209,900 cases (88,600 confirmed) and 3,266 deaths. Last week a sharp increase of 3,183 cases was recorded and tragically, we lost 55 lives. @AfricaCDC emergency teams are actively monitoring and responding to this outbreak. For detailed updates and guidelines, please visit the @AfricaCDC website africacdc.org/download/afric…

Great to see this! As we gear up for #COP28UAE the @BBC100women theme resonates! "Action is "local". We need to support local initiatives like tree-based entrepreneurs and community-led work around restoration, renewable energy and the circular economy." -@MathaiWanjira
For the last time on X, we're proud to present this year’s list of influential & inspirational women from around the world! The 2023 season of #BBC100women also highlights women who have been working to help their communities tackle climate change. ➡️ bbc.in/3QRgSs2

Here’s your weather outlook for Nov 7-13 🗓️: Rain is set to continue across the country, with a gradual decline in intensity later on 🌧️. With the grounds already saturated, additional rain could lead to further saturation concerns. #Weather #ElNino

#SANTHE is a proud sponsor of this workshop along with @gatesfoundation, @AMI_microscopy & NanoString. As Prof Zaza Ndlovu who is running the course said this morning at its opening, collaboration in science is vital to advance technology & solve problems we cannot solve alone.
The inaugural #CESORA intro to spatial omics research workshop is underway at AHRI! We’ve got a packed week ahead of lectures & hands-on practical sessions, geared to equip participants with skills in advanced immunohistochemistry, multi-omics & data analysis 🧬🔬 @TheNdhlovuLab

Across the globe and especially in several countries in #Asia the rates of female sterilization compared to that of #Vasectomy are much higher, despite the latter being less invasive and much safer. This #WorldContraceptionDay let's put the responsibility of contraception on men!
