I think i rather have a max of (cult) 500 followers than 5000 followers and with only a max of 5 likes rather than 5000 likes, since i can't compete with the big artists, and how great some of my character designs are it is what it is

Chasing an audience is no good. You want to find the biggest audience (biggest audience for the same amount of work is mass media) that likes what you like. Chasing people who don’t have anything in common with your art is a formula for burn out, but so is making stuff that only you like then getting frustrated when there’s never any heat. Two problems I see with most creators: 1. They don’t create anything at all. 2. They don’t know when to cut bait and try something else.
Chasing an audience has let me down too many times. Now I create what I enjoy.

Japanese women are beautiful but with the modeling and idol industry they have very harsh beauty standards so NGL even with that in mind There’s no competition that Japan/Asian women are the most beautiful women in the world 😍😍😍

I've seen this debate go around, but magical girls do not need to transform to be magical girls! The only requirement is using some sort of magic whether it's more fantasy or sci-fi inspired. One of the most famous magical girls prototypes does not transform!

A lot of people just don't want to make the effort. If it's not handed to them, if doesn't exist. Meanwhile my relatives in Jamaica were importing stuff, getting things "off the truck" so to speak or just emulating games.
I grew up in a third world country where we either didn't get consoles and games or they were wayy to expensive. People still found scrappy ways to play games and build a genuine love and appreciation for the artform . Why do Americans specifically find it so hard to play games ?

I have said this before: Movie makers raised on modern movies are shit. Same for all media Pokemon started because the creator liked collecting bugs and exploring as a kid, not just playing other video games. Inbred Media. You can't make music out of all samples forever.

Saddly i don't get many likes here on x, so i hope i get alot of views instead of likes as an alternative
With bigger artists getting so many likes, how was the internet in the 90s and early 2000s before social media? Since likes didnt exist, so people probably cared more about getting views, and for your website media or art to be seen, you had to have alot of views, right?

I think social media has rotted people's brains in regards to fanwork/fanfictions because years ago, while the competition wasn't as crazy, most people weren't getting millions of likes, shares and comments on their works. It typically was a close-knit group of steady fans.

Here are some fanart images of some of my favorite grunt suits out of gundam wing. Since it's a shame there is no gunpla for them except the leo, and sadly you can't use ai to turn them into 3d printables because of copyright. Real shame! Because im a big gundam fan!

It's because it's a leftist circle jerk, that'll comply with any & every censorious demand from authoritarian governments. If you're looking for an alternative social media site to grow your art account on, don't go to Bluesky.
🚨 Far left-wing social media platform BLUESKY won’t be included in the under-16s social media ban.

I've come to realize people don't want stories, they want character sims. They want characters to act out their own personal vendettas or personalities irregardless if it makes sense for their direction or plot.
The thing about "not developing every character" is that stories need focus to be Stories. There will be a principle focus, theme, beat, while other things will have to be peripheral / supporting. If everything's given Equal Weight, then it's not really a story, but a simulation.
