I hate that you can't “toggle detection” of running games in Discord until they've been launched at least once, i.e. they still get at least a *little* behavioral data off of you (has-ever-played title) even if you want to deny them from knowing every instance and duration

something that i feel a good story can do for side characters is add in information and correlations that have to moreso manually be thought through by the viewer instead of taking up unneeded screentime. Good example would be names and their meaning in the case of manga
The thing about "not developing every character" is that stories need focus to be Stories. There will be a principle focus, theme, beat, while other things will have to be peripheral / supporting. If everything's given Equal Weight, then it's not really a story, but a simulation.

this isn't because the filthy mtf's are evil btw this is because masculinity is seen as evil, and thusly, the FTM, going from female-to-male, must either be a gender traitor, or actively seeking to Fix Men from the Inside, because Men Are Evil.
A common theme in FtM spaces is it’s their responsibility to fix manhood by being female levels of conscious, empathetic, emotionally expressive, etc. Meanwhile in MtF spaces they’re simply concerned with being as hot as possible.

i've noticed a strong trend recently of this kind of Lore-Brain which is far more concerned with the kind of details that could go into a wiki plot synopsis or lore breakdown video than what the work actually conveys or evokes or any of its abstract qualities at all
