Today we went live with a program that allows us to host bail hearings for accused persons in custody over video. It will give people greater access to the Court system without having to be kept in a police station for longer periods.

Toronto police officer Duane Simon pulled his 90-year-old mother out of a long-term care home in Pickering earlier this month, where an outbreak of COVID-19 was just beginning. She has since tested positive for the virus, and he’s taken time off work to take care of her.
I dropped in on the @TorontoPolice Fleet team to drop off bottles of donated hand sanitizer for our members. Our Fleet team does amazing work customizing, detailing & maintaining our vehicles and managing our PPE. We place a lot of trust in them to help keep our officers safe.
