NFL Offenses aren't the only innovators and have copycats. NFL Defenses are right there! The meta, it appears, is more and more teams blitzing less and less. And, a lot of the time, it WORKS. The Rams, Seahawks, Texans, Packers & Eagles were amongst the bottom ten in blitz rate, and yet were in the TOP 10 in pressure rate in 2025. They were getting home despite not bringing extra rushers. Why? Simulated pressures & coverage disguises. This is not new. Fangio-inspired, and now perfected by Jeff Hafley (big reason he's a HC now) and Mike MacDonald. And guess what? The Titans blitzed 5th least last year and were 12th in no blitz pressure rate. Dennard Wilson is bringing similar concepts to the Giants. It's also why having excellent press corners are also important (hence drafting Colton Hood - the best press corner in the draft). If you can force the QB to hold on just a second and have them second guess where pressure is coming from, you have a successful defense. It's why they were so excited with Arvell Reese & why some (not all, they are different prospects) overlap with Abdul Carter is so perfect. Both are alpha rushers that can play at a high enough level as stack linebackers to legitimately disguise where the pressure is going to come from. Matt Patricia did an excellent job at OSU of disguising pressure. Two such examples seen below vs Texas where Reese is threatening over the A gap. In one, he backs off and ends up as a spy on Arch, who is forced to dump off to the safety valve and the other is Arch getting confused and yields to the DB coming off the edge. Can you imagine Abdul & Arvell double mugging the A gap and you have no clue who's coming and who isn't? Dennard Wilson must be giddy.

Man. I live and breathe the Giants and the NFL. I (depressingly) love my Mets, Devils and Nets. I even watch and love cricket. I cannot for the life of me get into soccer. None of this scratches that itch. I don't get why it doesn't, but damn am I jealous of the rest of the excitement my timeline has right now.

I loathe the Knicks but I'm very happy for all of my friends celebrating right now. Dominant playoff run.

Mikal Bridges standing on business for the Knicks in Game 2 of the NBA finals while the Nets wait on the 6th pick despite being one of the 3 worst teams in the league last year is my own personal hell and probably also explains why I've become so much more of a casual when it comes to the NBA in recent years

I want players who want to be New York Giants. Only love for Odell.
"The way that I had to walk away, it was unsettling in my soul. I have to do this. This is for myself, this is for my son. I want him to be able to see who I am, not who I was, and know that we never give up in our house. You go after what you believe in." - Odell Beckham Jr.

Lordy, that's an overpay by NE
Everything I heard was AJ to NE for a 2027 2nd and a 2028 1st. Let’s see what they end up settling on but this deal was always happening.

This is in reference to Abdul Carter and is a lot of discourse online these days. No critical thinking. Just emotions and vibes. "Anyone can support who they want" is literally what Carter said. But tribalism is en vogue.
Replying to @SNYGiants
Give me a F'in break anyone can support who they want. I t does not make anyone good or bad. This guy and people like this are little bitches.

Doesn’t back off of his viewpoint, stands on business but makes it as consistent and clear as possible he has no beef with Jaxson and he knows they both have the same common goal and wants to work together for that. About as quality of a statement as he could’ve made here

Bunch of well adjusted folks in the comments
If conditions are really as good as you're claiming, then let my health inspectors do their jobs. Taxpayers are footing a billion-dollar bill for this facility. They deserve transparency.

The "thank you for this, you a real one" tweets that come after moves like this will always be funny to me
Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas restructured his contract Wednesday, creating $6.46 million of added salary cap space for the team this year. Thomas converted his base salary to a roster bonus to make the space.
