A funny thing happened when I sat down to write, to say goodbye to the Oakland A's. I couldn't help but notice I've led a charmed baseball life. On Sept. 26 right around 3 p.m. that comes to an end. But it's been one hell of a run. asunleashed.substack.com/p/g…

If you’ve made a purchase with us in 2024, we’d like to thank you for the support. Because of you we were able to put on multiple events, bring many different Coliseum inspired items that reminded us all how much that place meant, and helped fight the good fight against the evil empire that is the A’s executive FO. You also contributed to many direct donations to various local and national charities. You also helped contribute to the first ever fan sponsorship on a minor league team in the Stockton Ports that led to the first ever fan funded, designed, and manufactured bobblehead in baseball history. Posted above is the digital graphic as we’ve been seeing postage covering up portions of the text.

Absolutely love this holiday card from @LastDiveBar that arrived in the mail. This line on the back says it all: “We were never the problem…it always was and always will be his, so FJF.”

A Happy New Year to all -- except John Fisher. And worth noting: This is the last official day for Dave Kaval as an A's employee. Good riddance to that erstwhile president, a scoundrel in every sense of the word.

As ever John Fisher making an absolute MESS of things. Amid his big move to Las Vegas, his club president Dave Kaval resigns and now he's being replaced by Sandy Dean, a long-time Fisher friend and associate who is not at all qualified for this role.

If things are going so great with this Las Vegas move, why would Dave Kaval leave this role? Why would the A's be so caught off guard they don't have a full-time president lined up? So many questions. 🤔

So many questions. But here's one thing I know for sure: Dave Kaval will never -- and I mean NEVER -- be hired to be the president of another MLB club. One of the least successful MLB club presidents of all time and undoubtedly the most unpopular. See ya.

"When betting on someone to stand on their virtues and merits or cave, I’m gonna bet on Dave Kaval to cave every single time. So, keep betting on a caving Dave Kaval, a caving John Fisher. I can’t wait until this whole thing craters in Nevada..." -@DamonBruce

It sure as hell sounds like John Fisher couldn't find one, singular investor for a $500-million, 25-percent stake in his baseball club at that comical $2 billion valuation.
Sandy Dean says momma Doris and the Fisher brothers are gonna fork over the money. Story here: espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/4211…

Sidenote: Has Dave Kaval been sidelined? Sure seems like we're hearing a lot from Sany Dean -- a long-time John Fisher associate -- a lot lately. 🤔
