Its been almost a year since I got to be on the dirt with these girls and boy did I miss it!! I cannot put in to words how excited I am for this summer!!! I have work to do and continue to work back. As the day comes to a close, of course I would want nothing more than to be setting out my Gordonsville uniform to battle another day. BUT I am SO thankful that I got the opportunity to be part of this team. I was nervous to come back from surgery, everyone doubted us, but this team SHOWED UP. We played for eachother every. single. game. Every single girl on the dirt, every girl (and Coach Bush and Coach Elmer) in the dugout, every fan who sat through rain and the melting sun wearing their Gordonsville colors proud, every fan that tuned in and cheered from home- GAVE IT THEIR ALL. And theres no doubt about it. We battled and left it all out there on the dirt against some solid competition to finish in the top 4 of the State. I hope our seniors who are moving on to their next chapters know that they have left a lasting impact on each and every one of us. I'm so beyond thankful for the love and support I get from my mom. I could never be where I am today without my mom and I could never continue to grow without my mom. happy mother's day to all the amazing moms of the world!

It is hard to believe that just a few months ago I couldn't walk or even shower for myself. I knew this recovery was going to be hard, but I didnt realize how challenging it would be mentally. Over these past months, Ive learned to love the game in different ways. I have learned how to be a selfless teammate and how to contribute without being able to perform physically. It has been hard, but I am so thankful for the lessons Ive learned. I want to thank my family, blood and chosen, for standing by me, encouraging me, pushing me, and supporting me! Finished off the regular season with our team being District Champions and myself earning 1st Team All District and District Tournament MVP. Sophomore Season Home Opener. Not my best day at the plate, but my teammates came through clutch to secure the W. Felt good in the field at short stop 👌 working back 1 day at a time. Last play day before season starts on Monday at Riverdale. Team went 1-1. I had 3 at bats for the day: home run, double, and a fielders choice. Got a few balls at short- had 1 diving play and a double play with KK. 5 months ago I underwent hip surgery. Today, I went back to my first hitting lesson with @marcweekly !
