Can’t think of a better way to close the book on my chapter at Fargo Public Schools than presenting on secondary traumatic stress (compassion fatigue) with my professional twin flame @SydJAzure at the NDU Education Support Professional Conference in Bizzo! @NDUnited

Superstars!!! Every single one! #FPSProud
Davies hosted their second SBI/EBR Site Visit today. When I say I work with the best, I truly mean it. The individual strengths of our teachers created a synergistic force that was energetic to be a part. #FPSProud @FargoNDSchools @alliekollman

From @borywrites: Many Black educators agree that too often today’s best-selling novels offer a limited, even cramped, perspective. Here are some alternatives to consider, recommended by English and literacy teacher @heymrsbond, librarian @Boss_Librarian, and others: 🧵1/11

Intentional discussion about the purpose behind words that form agreements/rules is a great proactive way to ensure students understand and hold themselves to high expectations as well! #restorative

Being autistic, combined with my people-pleasing tendencies - this has been a consistent lesson throughout my leadership journey. People don't want to be saved - they just want space to process. #autistic #leadershipmatters
When someone is in a crisis, my autistic brain naturally tries to go into problem-solving mode. However, I’ve learnt that sometimes people don’t want solutions - they want to vent or want someone to comfort them. So, now I try to tailor my support to each person and situation.
