Silence is no virtue; it is a vice times two for it contains indifference to the victims and complicity with evil.

We often seem to want people who have suffered terrible things to just “get over it.” They cannot. Evil has a real impact and does real damage.

We do not protect the name of Jesus in the Christian world using godly words to cover ungodly deeds.  God wants purity in the kingdom of the heart not the appearance of it in a system that has to lie to make it seem as if it is present.

Dysfunctional organizations have to make things up in order to justify their mistreatment of individuals.

Dear @jackiesearle09 please would you intervene in what looks set to be a gross miscarriage of justice by Derby Diocese, since you are acting Bishop? We've uncovered dishonesty, breaches of UK law, bullying against us, abuse of power, abuse of process...

Surely this makes a diocese a safeguarding risk? Especially since the diocese’s behaviour had an adverse effect on the children concerned.
Thoughts on a C of E diocese who, when your children are intimidated & manhandled by a bullying group at the end of church, knows but doesn't investigate the perpetrators until a YEAR later & instead makes false statements on your reference?

I long for the day when our senior church leaders have integrity.

When a bishop writes a letter to you which directly concerns your future & refers to “the papers”, so you ask which papers he means & he replies to tell you that he won’t tell you which papers he meant in his letter. I wonder if even he knows? This is not unusual in the C of E.

Poppies at RSPB Ham Wall last weekend. 😍 I've always loved Poppies, but I rarely see them in the countryside anymore. 😔🌸

So often an organization that has behaved wrongly will engage in bullying you & paint you as the wrongdoer in an attempt to cover up or at least muddy the waters.

"The whole [con evo] world in the C of E was for decades substantially managed and controlled by JF ... In the light of all that has been revealed since 2019 ... it is hard not to see him as a kind of mafia boss within this section of the Church." I've lost confidence in Renew and other CE orgs who have consistently silenced victims & protected friends. Until they do the right thing here & in other situations they fully know about (incl. ours) it feels like hypocrisy. Crushing to watch. Damage control is still the priority

We are not called to protect our institutions, nor do we protect the God of truth by covering up sin and/or a crime. To do so is to “protect” a cancer—and cancer kills. We honor God by caring for the wounded and by dragging sin to the light and calling it by its right name.
