An unusual afternoon yesterday, representing @TeenageCancer at 10 Downing Street to mark the start of the consultation on a Civil Society Covenant. So struck by the many remarkable leaders at the event (while keeping grounded by Larry the cat having any interest in any of us!).

At @TeenageCancer we know that the long-term underinvestment in the NHS is translating to challenges for young people with cancer to receive the best care and support that they need - and challenges for the skilled teams working hard within the NHS to deliver it.  (1/2)

Using insight and expertise from patient focussed charities like @TeenageCancer must be crucial to the new 10-year plan but we encourage the government to remember that charities cannot be the default answer to tackling the challenges in this report. (2/2)
