Did frontline workers have adequate PPE? No Did Matt Hancock and the rest of the Cabinet hand out public money to his mates, cronies and Tory donors? Yes The Health Secretary trying to justify the latter by lying about the former is a disgusting insult to frontline key workers.
#Marr asks Health Secretary Matt Hancock if he would apologise for acting unlawfully over not revealing Covid pandemic contracts within a 30 day period bbc.in/3dKLkm7

There's not much room for feelings of achievement or pride these days, but finally getting back to buying a physical newspaper feels fantastic ❤️📰

. @SallyAnn1066 this is an excellent idea. We and other independent food businesses can help improve these hampers - we have the suppliers, knowledge of food and time to give. Why are we not being asked to help funds go further? We are happy to do so voluntarily!

Replying to @MarcusRashford
Information provided – The value uplift of the FSM Hampers has not yet come into play. We have so many independent businesses who have struggled their way through 2020 – why can’t we mobilize them to support the distribution of food packages? Or am I being naïve? (3)

We'd welcome them more if they were not distributed using business rates to assign grant amounts - another kick in the teeth for hospitality in Hastings and St Leonards #hospitalityindustry
Today @RishiSunak has announced a further £4.6 billion in support for businesses to get through this further lockdown. I welcome this support, especially the grants for the hospitality, retail and leisure businesses. sallyannhart.org.uk/news/sal…

The vaccine is here, the end is in sight - so what's to be gained from dropping the ball at the last hurdle. So much has been spent already for sustainable hosp businesses to fold making all that investment useless @SallyAnn1066 surely?!
We will be going in T3 following a closed November a dismall December due to restrictions - we need more help to stay afloat keep jobs and local economy going @SallyAnn1066

This is true - people do need to follow the rules! But we also NEED more support. Staff furlough calculations need updating (fulltimers getting money based on p/t winter hours) £1300 hosp grant is meaningless

I am urging residents in #Hastings & #Rye to comply with #Covid19 restrictions as our area is now teetering towards Tier 3 as our infection rate is increasing sharply and in a sustained manner. Lets follow the guidance to protect the NHS and save lives. sallyannhart.org.uk/news/mp-…
What a shit show lockdown 2.0. All the small indy shops and restaurants closed, the supermarkets open selling whatever they want. I can groom my dog but not change a tampon in public 🙄
I mean clearly it's safer and more socially acceptable to let a woman bleed all over the floor in the queue. Thought after the Tesco sexist blunder there would be some common sense.
This lockdown is the wild west @marksandspencer selling clothes and presents at Ravenside Bexhill-on-Sea, but won't let a woman despearate for the toilet use it.
Boris holding this presser at 7pm on a Saturday night can only be trying to give the entire hospitality industry a stroke. Fucking brilliant.

It's really good for local health and police-community relations to make older guests stand in the rain waiting for their taxis and refuse the use of the toilets after 21.58. What a shit show.
Special shout out to the police in Hastings and St Leonards-on-sea who are dedicating their time to circling restaurants at 10.01pm and threatening 10k fines if all diners are not turfed out on the dot.

Who'd have thought that kicking everyone out of restaurants by 9.59pm would result in people going home where there's no social distancing or COVID-19 measures and drinking cheaper wine in greater volumes 🤔

Germany rolled out mass testing and tracing 6 months ago. They are now almost fully unlocking (including spectator sport). Meanwhile in Britain, we have banned groups of more than 6 people, don’t have an effective contact tracing model and the media are pushing for lockdown 2.

And, while we are all paddling mad to keep our heads above water, any chance we could get a working testing system? Would be great if staff isolating could actually get access to a test so they know if they are safe to work.

And how are we finding out now when it hits in on Thursday? We are already full this weekend! So tomorrow we have start calling cancelling weekend bookings! Has anyone from government ever worked in a real life restaurant?! @SallyAnn1066

So, please someone in government explain how not letting us serve until 11pm, in a fully-distanced, table service restaurant will stop the numbers rising?! @SallyAnn1066

All staff off furlough, we have even hired new and now we have lost 1/3 of our service - can't sit any tables after 8pm. We will loose thousands a week staff hours will go @SallyAnn1066
