I met with @BringEyvinHome to discuss the continued push to secure Eyvin's release from wrongful detention in Venezuela. This angel belongs back in the City of Angels. I will continue to work with my @HouseForeign colleagues & the @StateDept to reunite him with his loved ones.

What is it like doing indigent defense? Today I looked at the court list to appoint a neuropathologist on a special circumstance homicide. Turns out he's been dead since 2012. Theatre of the Absurd. No one cares if the poor have ancillary services.

Eyvin Hernandez ’01, J.D. ’05 earned Physics and Mathematics degrees and graduated from @UCLA_Law. He joined the L.A. County Public Defender’s Office in 2006 and has remained connected to his alma mater through the Alumni Association, Athletics and Extension.

The execution of Ernest Johnson is unconstitutional under all existing legal precedents. He has the mental capacity of a 9-year-old child and is missing 20% of his brain mass. The Supreme Court’s failure to do anything to stop this is a moral failing of the highest order.
