There are people with #LongCovid who can't work, who are losing access to everything, who need constant support, who don't have access to care, who are home-bound, who risked to die, who don't have access to disability benefits. This is often not underlined enough

Today is #LongCovidAwarenessDay ONS estimates 1.9 MILLION people are currently suffering from #LongCovid including 62,000 children.
Scottish Government now plans to stretch funding over 5 years rather than 3, with the total funding available remaining unchanged. @scotgovhealth

4 years ago today I developed symptoms of covid. It was a scary time for someone with several long term conditions and who was on immunosuppressants at the time. So little was known. Little did I expect not to get better. My life is very different now. #LongCovidSucks
