The conversations circulating this week have me thinking back to an interview on Gaza, risk, and responsibility I did with David Velasco @samuelkidd this summer for @memoreview's second issue (sadly not online). Happy to send a PDF for those who want to read the full text.

I have officially resigned as editor at Artforum. I am absolutely gutted, but also proud of all that we were able to pull off these past five years and extremely grateful our colleagues and contributors.

I know I should just express gratitude for all the incredible writing I've encountered through Bookforum, the phrases that still bounce around in my head, and for the incredible indulgence of taking my time with a text, etc, etc, but right now, all I feel is grief. This hurts.

Nicole Miller's moodboard-as-monograph Michael in Black questions what we see when we look at our idols, centering on a vision of Michael Jackson that comes, to quote Hannah Black, "punished in advance." In this month's @bookforum . bookforum.com/print/2903/mic…
