In the 2024 General Elections, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico celebrated a status plebiscite. Independence was, in fact, the least voted option (11.8%), followed by Sovereignty in Free Association (29.6%). Statehood was the #1 choice resulting in a landslide of 58.6%.
