The cat who stole the spotlight during a Romeo and Juliet performance in Turkey came back for rehearsal too. She must really love theater.

Why does the safety of incarcerated women not matter? Housing males in women prisons, particularly predators, perpetrators of femicide and violence against women goes against all common sense, the principles of dignity, safety and equality of women. Women i prison are entilef to those rights too! It has gone on for too long and must stop immediately!
Serial killer Harvey Marcelin has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering and dismembering a woman he met in a NYC women’s shelter. This is the third separate time that Marcelin has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a woman. He was first convicted of murder in 1963, then paroled in 1984, only to be arrested for a second femicide in 1986. He was paroled a second time, to a women’s shelter, in 2019, even though he told a parole officer upon his release that he had ā€œa problem with women.ā€ For the last four years, Marcelin has been housed in a women’s facility, but has recently been moved to hospital accommodations, probably as a result of age and ill health. This case should serve as a reminder that even ill, very elderly men can be dangerous to women, and that women need separate housing in shelters and other facilities. reduxx.info/transgender-seri…

10 years ago my wife, the mum of our kids & the MP for Batley&Spen was killed by a far right extremist. At anniversaries I try to be optimistic about the future. But not this time. In the ten years since she was killed we have gone backwards & I fear our democracy is now at risk

Doctor say that vaccines are one of the greatest breakthroughs in medical history. A nepo baby who snorts cocaine off toilet seats, bathes in raw sewage, and takes raccoon penises home for ā€œfurther studyā€œ says they cause autism. For busy parents, it can be hard to know who to trust.

The BBC did this too: wrote a headline to suggest a sensitive prude over-reacted to an admirer. "Asked for a kiss" sounds like an optimistic romantic. In fact he grabbed her hair, virtually sat on her and frightened her. Why are the media so ok with crimes against women? šŸ¤”

The man in question assaulted the woman by grabbing her hair before asking to kiss her. It's right at the beginning of the story, the tweet should clearly have contained that. news.sky.com/story/rail-pas…

Right, only a literal employee of Israel would object to a person with a Nazi-adjacent tattoo who sexts multiple women as a newlywed. I would vote for him, BTW, because the only thing that matters is taking the Senate.
If you want a handy list of people who work for Israel, look at everyone criticizing Graham Platner now, especially Democrats. I get why Republicans want to tear him down. But Democrats attacking their own candidate only happens when they are ordered to do so by their handlers.

Pro-life and making America healthy again by cutting money to help moms buy vegetables for their babies.
As grocery prices continue to rise nationally, the House passed an appropriations bill that would cut $141 million in funding for a program that helps pregnant women and children purchase healthy foods. wapo.st/4ocfEIf

A panel from Persepolis I particularly enjoy.
I always loved this page in Persepolis; I'd stare at it for ages as a teenager. The way Satrapi clearly delineates the figures with various contoured patterns. Comic genius.

This is deeply troubling. I hope New York will step away from this move! I wrote about the push to eliminate the word ā€œmotherā€ and mother-related terminology in law and policies; how it is linked to the devaluation of motherhood and women overall. I will be presenting this report on ā€œviolence against mothersā€ to the UN Human Rights Council in a few weeks.
🚨 New York Democrats just voted to erase "Mother" and "Fatherā€. Governor Kathy Hochul will be replacing "mother" with "gestating parent" and "father" with "non-gestating parent." This isn't inclusion, it's insanity. While New Yorkers battle sky-high taxes, crime, and failing schools, The state is obsessed with rewriting biology and the English language. Real parents don't need woke bureaucrats redefining them. Reject this nonsense.

It's a bad time for free speech in Britain. Two controversial American left-wing influencers have had their visas blocked by the British government after being deemed not ā€œconducive to the public goodā€. Sacha Nauta, The Economist’s Britain editor, explains why this is a bad look for a country that sees itself as the birthplace of free speech.
