A gem from @theTCPA archives 📸 Mary Riley cuts the ribbon on the Mobile #PlanningAid unit in 1984. Mary helped raise funds for the van, which was fitted with tech & materials & toured Britain (4K miles by 1985) supporting community-led #planning @Planaidlondon @PlanningAidEng

On #InternationalWomensDay, we remember Mary Riley, who has died aged 101. Mary was a pioneer in the field of town and country planning, the first woman to be appointed a county officer in England and Wales, in 1973, and the first female chair of the TCPA. theguardian.com/politics/202…
