the world runs on incentives, everything looks fake fake and many systems make more money managing problems than eliminating them.

It was a mistake for SA journalism to try and keep up with social media.
We should have let the social media โcitizen journalismโ loop ๐ run independently while we focused on professional and ethical reporting.
Instead, we followed people who randomly observe events and start recordingโฆ then they turned the camera around and recorded themselves!
Now, most headlines are either click bait or hot takes!
And sometimes, I canโt even tell if some journalists are moonlighting as influencersโฆ
Especially when they walk the red carpet and take selfies with politicians.
