It is almost a year since we started looking into chain interoperability.
It started with a need to bridge stablecoin, research different technologies, to developing the core protocol, smart contracts and interface together!

Folks, for the very first time since the launch of $ZIL mainnet, the network produced more than 2,500 blocks in a day.
This means:
1β£ Faster to get txn finalized with a large network. To the best of my knowledge, $ZIL network size is one of the largest only after ETH and BTC.

ELI5: This upgrade will add all the features needed at the protocol-layer to enable the bridge. However, there is a still a dependency on PolyNet to be fully operational. They have made good progress in the last week or so. Follow their progress on @PolyNetwork2.
