Finally the message is getting out, layers just add complexity put security control around your services and data not the plumbing put monitoring everywhere else as it’s more scaleable.

It reveals decoupling in the organization. The solution is not to have more centralization but to optimize for decentralization in a loosely coupled but aligned fashion.
