That said, Jack, the oldest, saw the dangers of being around the mob and was getting out by going to ROTC.
Also, Justine nailed it with Oz breaking his word to his Ma by leaving in a vegetative state when he promised not to.
Oz doesn't love his Ma but how she makes HIM feel.

I agree, this was far from Oz and Eve's first Oedipal roleplay but I didn't know that was his Ma's *actual* dress. Ew!π±
Btw, Sophia could have fled but she couldn't let go of revenge on Oz. Just like Lex could've reconciled but couldn't let go of his revenge on Lois.

#ThePenguin shows it's one thing to be a monster and another to CHOOSE to be one--over their humanity. Oz, Sophia & Vic keep choosing "The Life" for Power, Revenge & Respect, despite the costs.
Oh, and Oz explicitly told Sophia his Ma was dead at her brother's funeral (ep 2).

@KristianHarloff I think what @TheRochaSays was saying on @BigThingShow was that origin of #RedHood in the comics was left for dead but later revived. In the comics, he was actually killed.
In #ThePenguin, after episode 7, many people are left for dead who could be revived.

As for #TheBatmanPart2, for those who didn't watch #ThePenguin, the #RedHood could be explained as someone from Gotham who had been abused by a corrupt police force, ignored by a corrupt government and preyed on by organized crime and seeks to deliver two-gun justice--personally.
