Dans un monde plus incertain, nous devons plus que jamais assumer notre leadership climatique.
Les Européens sont à la COP29 et y jouent un rôle crucial.
J’entends aussi ici et là que la COP est un modèle dépassé : je rappelle que sans elle, nous serions sur la trajectoire climatique d’un réchauffement de 5 degrés, contre 2,5 à 3 aujourd’hui.

Discussion focused delivering an NCQG outcome that supports the GST, including just transitions from fossils fuels, and lays the ground for ambitious #NDCs.

🤝✅ Après d’intenses négociations, nous venons d’obtenir au #G7 un accord sur la sortie du charbon d’ici la première moitié de la décennie 2030.
À la COP28, le Président @EmmanuelMacron avait appelé à l’adoption d’un calendrier précis de sortie des énergies fossiles. Le G7 a pris acte de cette nécessité.
Pour la France, ça sera 2027.

BREAKING: #G7 agree to phase out domestic coal during the first half of 2030s. This will help accelerate the shift of investment from coal to clean technology in particular in Japan and more broadly in the whole Asian coal economy, including China and India.
