My Tuesday: 6.30am - schooled first OTT of the day “Isleham Village”, 5yo Yulong homebred by Grunt who was flown back from Singapore. 8.30am - into the office, replied to enquiries regarding rehoming a Yulong horse, contacted a retrainer to let her know a horse we’d discussed was being kept and retired to Yulong to safe guard his future. 4pm - organised a recently retired horse’s trip to Yulong’s pretraining farm to start his retraining process. 5.30pm - schooled second Yulong OTT “Strong Trade”, 4yo by Written Tycoon. 6.30pm - open social media to be told we have no rehoming initiative and don’t care about retired horses 🤦🏼‍♀️ Anyway, if you are genuinely interested in a Yulong off-the-track horse, hit me up at our very existent rehoming email: rehoming@yulonginvest.com.au 📸 My two much-loved Yulong boys 💚

Equine Pathways Australia visited Caulfield today with the muddy marvel, Jungle Edge, as part of @NationalTBWeek. He is 15yo and is enjoying his post racing career as a para-equestrian horse. Thanks @MelbRacingClub for your great support. See how he loved watching the trials.

Yesterday I had the honour (& pressure) of presenting my job to my 5yo daughter Harlow’s kindy class 😊 25 eager little eyes were introduced to a dad whose job it is to “help people breed, buy & race the fastest thoroughbred racehorses in Australia” 🏇 We talked through: - why people want fast racehorses - the appreciation for the animal, the fun, the challenge, the 105 1m races run in 🇦🇺 each year - how we secure our horses which was accompanied by a live auction - incl auctioneer, gavel, bid spotters, toy racehorses & pretend money (the kids loved this especially) - how to look after racehorses once we own them (the happiest & healthiest are more likely to win) - how we know which horse in a race is ours, which was accompanied by some silk design, colouring & naming our racehorse - the kids then sang a horse song which incl escaping their paddock & galloping around the classroom - finally, we heard that once Tash & I had left that the kids raced their horses around the mat in a mock race organised by their fantastic teacher - other props incl a Winx figurine & a @mmsnippets 2YO Classic trophy 🏆 🙏 Big thanks to Harlow’s kindergarten for having us, to @Aushorse_TBA & @RaceQLD for supplying the toy racehorses, caps, kids racing activity booklet & colouring pencils, and life-cycle of a horse handouts 🙏 #NextGen
